The aim of the project Center for Socio-Economic Research on the Impacts of Environmental Policies (Seepia) is to create an interdisciplinary research center that will ensure long-term professional capacity for socio-economic research in the field of the environment. The project's policy framework is the Green Agreement for Europe, presented by the European Commission at the end of 2019 as a strategic vision for the transition to a carbon-neutral, more sustainable and greener economy while enhancing the value of protecting and restoring natural ecosystems, sustainable use of resources and improving human health.
The Center will develop methods for assessing the impact of policies, foresight and attitudes and behavior research, and will provide expert support to selected government agencies in developing policies and strategies based on research into current and future environmental, economic and societal impacts, while incorporating public attitudes and behavior into the policy making process.

The project has been supported by the Environment for Life program of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR).
