OECD report on research policy

OECD has published a policy paper which provides systematic mapping of the governance of public research across all 35 OECD countries for the period 2005 – 2017. The report “How is research policy across the OECD organised?“ describes how are private, public and governmental bodies involved in the design and implementation of policies regarding publicly-funded research. While funding arrangements and policy co-ordination mechanism differ, Science, technology, and innovation (STI) strategies are in place in most countries and National STI strategies often include quantifiable targets.
