Cybersecurity Innovation Hub II

Cybersecurity Innovation Hub II

Cybersecurity Innovation Hub II (CIH II) is a continuation and extension of the successful pilot project of the Cybersecurity Innovation Hub (CIH) project – currently the only European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the Czech Republic focused exclusively on cybersecurity. The project is implemented in accordance with the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) and the call DIGITAL-2025-EDIH-EU-EEA-08-CONSOLIDATION-STEP CE CIH II and it addresses emerging challenges related to the transformative potential of AI technologies, evolving legislation and geopolitical and technological developments.

CIH II supports the transition to a safe society and economy with the support of artificial intelligence, offering services that help businesses and public entities understand and mitigate the cyber risks associated with AI.

The consortium builds on a multidisciplinary team and robust infrastructure (e.g. CyberRangeCZ, BUTCA Cyber Arena) and at the same time actively connects with European ecosystems such as AI Factories, TEF and the EuroQCI initiative. It provides services in line with EDIH's four core roles: Test before Invest, Training and Skills Development, Access to Funding and Innovation Ecosystems & Networking.

CIH II maintains strong national contacts and promotes cross-border cooperation with other European EDIHs, thus contributing to the creation of the Central European EDIH Network. Targeted sectors include small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, health, education and critical infrastructure.

CIH II uses advanced technologies such as secure quantum communication and collaborates with key national partners such as the National Cyber and Information Security Authority (NÚKIB), academic institutions and digital inclusion initiatives. Its mission is to increase the digital maturity of Czech and European society by increasing cybersecurity readiness and facilitating the secure adoption of advanced digital technologies, especially at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
