Technology Centre ASCR, together with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) issued a publication Practice on RoadmappIng. This publication introduces process of roadmapping and creation of roadmaps as a foresight tool. The content of the Practice is a compilation of seminars and workshops within UNIDO Technology Foresight Training Programme held in Prague in 2007 and 2008. It is available also in electronic form here.

The publication of Technology Centre AS CR Assessment of Participation of the Czech Republic in the EU Framework Programmes was brought out at the opportunity of EU Czech Presidency conference EUFORDIA.

The White Paper on Research, Development and Innovation in the CR follows–up the Green Paper on Research, Development and Innovation in the CR and formulates measures that should lead to an enhancement of the national innovation system and result in fulfilment of the vision outlined in the Green Paper. The White Paper was prepared in co-operation with a group of prominent experts from public research, universities, private companies and state administration and was adopted by the Research and Development Council as one of the base documents for setting the new National R&D and Innovation Policy for 2009 – 2015 period. The new study, recently published by the TC AS CR, named „Innovation Potential of the Czech Regions” is an analytical and conceptual material, which aims to comprehensively map the state of research and innovation capacity at the regional level. The aim of the publication was to evaluate systematically the regional innovative potential on the basis of available empirical data, the current theoretical context and sophisticated methodology. The main outputs present a description of strengths and weaknesses of the region’s innovation system and recommendations potentially leading to the increase of competitiveness, based on the knowledge use. This study should serve as one of the bases for the formulation of innovation policies and programmes at both regional and national levels. It is also a conceptual material that shall be used for the preparation of development strategies, particularly in the area of research and development, technology transfer and innovation infrastructure. The publication is a comprehensive analytical and conceptual material, which aims at evaluating the state of research, development and innovation in the Czech Republic in an international context and to initiate wider professional discussion in key thematic areas. The publication consists of two separate documents – the text part and the analytical resource document.
