Czech Liaison Office for Research and Development in Brussels
CZELO is a project of the Technology Centre ASCR and it is supported by a grant of the National Research Programme operated by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
The principal aim of CZELO is to help the Czech research to incorporate successfully into the European research cooperation, especially within the Framework programmes for research and development. It provides services for researchers from all types of research and development organizations in the Czech Republic.
In particular CZELO offers the following services:
- providing the Czech research institutions with the targeted and updated information on the possibilities of being involved in international research consortia
- ensuring preliminary hearing of project proposals with relevant EC officers
- arranging and facilitating meetings of Czech researchers with relevant EC officers in order to discuss the ongoing projects
- ensuring basic support infrastructure and assistance for meetings of Czech researchers with potential project partners
- organizing information days about Czech research and development for the European institutions representatives (European Parliament, European Commission, the Council of EU and others)
- systematically promoting Czech research, its results and success stories, partner capacities and specific offers for collaboration
